ABOUT US

Kastor Boat Trips has provided sustainable experiences in the Gothenburg archipelago since 2004. We are based in Hönö Klåva Harbour just 60 min from the city center and GOT airport. Hönö is an old fishing camp with lots of history and traditions and we would like to give our visitors a taste of our beautiful heritage. Thanks to the engines poor fuel consumtion, 1 liter/h, we produce a minimum of carbon dioxid.

The heart of the business is the charming fishing boat Kastor, 28 feet, build in oak 1960 at Orust, back when it was the center of the best boat builders world wide. It came to Hönö Island in 1990 and eventually it retired from the industrial fishing business. Since then, our skipper Lasse took over and has treated many land crabs and ocean lovers for a rememberable trip on the sea between Hönö and Vinga.

In cooperation with hotels, restaurants, guides and other skippers we can offer customised activities for up to 100 pax.

About Us

Welcome to the lovely island of Hönö on the Swedish west coast.

As many other islands on the coast, Hönö is an old fishing camp. Still today there are active boats with new generation fisher men leaving the shore every Sunday evening, but nothing like the good old days

Hönö is part of a 10 island community where 3 other islands easily can be reached by bridge in a matter of minutes. The other ones are connected with ferrys, and they are all worth a visit!

The natural meeting point of Hönö is Klåva, the south harbour of the island. Apart from boat trips and beautiful surroundings, Klåva offers restaurants, shopping and a fishing museum with guided tours. It’s a perfect destination for a day trip or weekend.

If you stay in the city you can reach Klåva with direct bus 291 from NET or by car.

You can also choose to stay the night at the hotel or hostels around the islands.

Make sure that your visit to Hönö becomes an experience to remember. And keep in mind, even if it’s cloudy in the city center, we likely have lovely weather out in the archipelago!

In cooperation with hotels, restaurants, guides and other skippers we can offer customised activities for up to 100 pax.
